Travel Soccer

We are a part of the Ohio Travel Soccer League (OHTSL), which is currently the premier travel organization in Northeast Ohio. This program will give our players the opportunity to improve their soccer skills in the best travel league in Northeast Ohio. We have both boys and girls teams in the travel league.

The Lakewood City Schools Community Recreation & Education Department's Lakewood United Football Club has programs tailored to soccer players of all ages.

The Lakewood United Football Club (LUFC) is a joint merger between the former Ohio Rangers Football Club (ORFC) and the Lakewood Soccer Association (LSA) travel soccer club. We teach, train, and coach talented girls and boys soccer athletes from ages 5 to 18. Small sided games are essential in our training sessions. Our coaches include licensed, highly respected individuals active in the Cleveland soccer community, dedicated to the personal growth of the soccer player. We are a growing presence in the highly competitive culture of the Northeast Ohio soccer community. We are also a non-profit organization that is working to bring this great sport to the newly arrived immigrants and low income families of the city of Lakewood. All are welcome to join!

Foot skills Programs

Foot skills sessions are offered year round by licensed coaches. Lakewood United FC encourages all their players to attend as many sessions as possible.

Foot skills coaches concentrate on developing correct fundamentals and concepts. Emphasis is placed on teaching proper techniques in dribbling, passing, ball control, and shooting.

Academy - Boys and Girls (Ages 5-8)

This program gives the young soccer player an advantage by giving them a proper foundation with the basics of soccer. Our players will be trained by licensed coaches and will receive guidance toward achieving their soccer goals in a friendly environment. Genders will be separated during Academy to give players the opportunity to thrive in a relaxed environment with their peers. Small sided games provide the players with numerous touches on the ball under the guidance of experienced coaches. Our volunteer collaborations for Academy include the Lakewood organization H2O, the Lakewood High School Girls soccer team, and various coaches who assist with this program.
